The Stonehaven Guide website is recognised as the official website for Stonehaven. It was created in 2001 by Webecom Marketing headed by George McGillivray who has lived in Stonehaven since 1977.

His passion for Stonehaven is manifested in his role as Past Chairman of Stonehaven its Special Tourism Group and his current role as Chair of Stonehaven Business Association. He was also a director of Stonehaven Town Partnership until November 2010.
