Stonehaven Folk Festival is now one of the most popular music festivals in Scotland.

Held in July each year the festival atmosphere creates a real buzz of excitement around the town.

As well as attracting top acts to the concerts, more and more musicians are taking part in informal sessions in the local pubs.

During the festival you can witness two amazing events unique to Stonehaven

The World Paper and Comb Championship

The number of entries for this fun filled contest are growing each year.

The Aqua Ceilidh

In Stonehaven's heated Open Air Pool you can watch or take part in the popular dances like The Splashing White Sergeant and The Eightsome Eel.

The 2022 Festival  is on from Friday 7th to Sunday 10th July

Guests include Flook, Rura, Shooglenifty, Kris Drever and the Paul McKenna Band.

As well as all the concerts there are lots of sessions in the local pubs.
